Actor Kartik Aryan says upcoming buddy-comedy “Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2” does not aim to project itself as an adult comedy.
“‘Pyaar Ka Panchanaama 2’ has nothing like adult dialogues or objects. This is a situational comedy film, not an adult comedy. There is not a single pointless scene in the movie, not anything is irrelevant,” the actor said at the film’s quirky promotion.
Kartik, who was the scene-stealer in the prequel, said: “This movie is about a boy and a girl when they come together, how boys get stuck into the relationship. We have just tried to show various things that happen in a relationship. The dialogues are used as mostly two boys converse with each other, so as such there is nothing called adult.”
Talking about the expectation for the movie, he said: “It will be wrong to compare with its prequel. This film is different; characters are new so this is going to be a fresh movie for viewers. I feel ‘Pyaar Ke Panchnaama 2’ will be regarded as a unique and successful film.”
In the prequel, Kartik’s 7-minute famous monologue has been revamped for “Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2”. While actresses Nushrat Bharucha, Sonalli Sehgall and Ishita Sharma have been cast again, the movie will see two new actors Omkar Kapoor and Sunny Singh besides Kartik Aaryan.
Directed by Luv Ranjan, “Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2”, presented by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and produced by Panaroma Studios, releases on October 16.
