Did Kartik Aaryan lose a Karan Johar film for this reason?

Actor Kartik Aaryan, after the super success of his last release ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’, has bagged his next, the Hindi remake of ‘Kirik Party’. But, according to reports, has lost a lucrative project with none other than Karan Johar. It is no secret that every newcomer aims to bag a role in Dharma Production project, but apparently, Kartik, who was given one such opportunity, lost it all thanks to his overzealous team.

As per Deccan Chronicles report, Karan Johar was reportedly considering the 29-year-old actor for a significant part in his rumored next, which is said to co-star Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

The report further added, “Kartik had been sent feelers from Dharma to meet for a possible role, nothing concrete. But his team messed it up by splashing the news that he had been signed by Karan Johar. No such thing had actually happened. As if this was not enough to piss off Karan, Kartik’s team also leaked out the false news that Kartik was going to be paired with Kareena Kapoor, when she was actually opposite Akshay in the film.”

The reports also revealed that Kartik’s demanded higher remuneration, “He thinks he’s an A-list star now, and that he should be paid accordingly. Sadly, the producers don’t agree.”

Dharma Production has not made any official confirmation about the much-talked-about film. But as per a DNA report, the movie will be around two couples and their life post marriage, and surrogacy will be an important part of the film. Recently, there were reports that Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh have also been roped in for the film.
