No matter how much of a debacle ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ turned out to be, but the highlight of the Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra-starrer was the track ‘Kaala Chashma’ which went on to garner hits after hits, becoming one of the most popular tracks on YouTube.
And now, Katrina has gone the ‘Kaala Chashma’ way, in real life. Nope, she is not tying the knot, but, she has been roped in as the brand ambassador of Lenskart, which is an online platform for buying eyewear.

The actress said, “I am delighted to be associated with Lenskart… It’s very important for me to find synergies with my brand associations and I believe Lenskart resonates the same. Lenskart is a brand loved by Indian youth and this is a conscious effort to connect with the fashion savvy Indians.”
As per Peyush Bansal, the CEO of the website, the brand represents a fusion of fun and fashion, and who better than Katrina, who exudes freshness every time, to be the face of the brand.
Bansal said, “”Katrina, we feel, is all of this too naturally, hence a perfect fit and not a forced fit. We were looking for someone who naturally fits the Lenskart brand proposition of ‘Addictive Playfulness’. Katrina fits this the most. Her song ‘Kala chashma’ was a phenomenal success and we think she will be really successful with the actual chashma (spectacles) as well.”
Well, Katrina does look good in specs and goggles, so we do agree that she would be a perfect fit as the brand ambassador of Lenskart.
