Katrina Kaif confirms Aanand L Rai’s next was earlier titled ‘Katrina Meri Jaan’

Post ‘Tiger Zinda hai’ , Katrina Kaif has a good lineup with the other two Khans. ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ with Aamir Khan and an untitled with Shah Rukh Khan. The film also stars Anushka Sharma and has cameo of Deepika Padukone along with list of yesteryear actresses. Earlier there were many reports suggesting that the title of the film is ‘Katrina Meri Jaan’.

Now Katrina has revealed that the movie was indeed titled as ‘Katrina Meri Jaan’, but now the film has gone through a lot of changes and hence the title is no longer the same. While talking to DNA, the actress revealed the same. She said, “It wasn’t about the space or the VFX. Honestly, Aanand sir has been discussing this film with me for the last two years. It was originally titled Katrina Meri Jaan, which is probably why people keep asking me if I’m playing myself in the film.”

“But it’s a very different film now since there have been a lot of changes in it. Aanand sir is one of the finest directors we have and I believe in him. He really pushed me and fought for it. So I felt that if someone’s fighting so much for it and has that much belief, then let’s see where we go together,” the actress added.

There were also reports that she has a small role in Rai’s film and also in ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’. While talking about the latter, she said, “I cannot talk about anything related to Thugs right now.” She also stated that if she has an interesting offer, she will do it irrespective of the screen time. The actress said, “You have to have a good role in a film you’re doing. And the film has to interest you. I’m just grateful for the work that I do. Yes, no doubt, I work as hard as anyone possibly can. I don’t classify roles like that. If something interests me, I will do it, regardless of the screen time.”

Katrina will next be seen in ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ which is slated to release on December 22, 2017. ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ will hit the screens in November 2018 and Rai’s movie will be releasing in December 2018. (Also Read: Salman Khan gets up and close with Katrina Kaif en route IFFI)
