Katrina Kaif reveals she feels ‘intimidated’ by Bollywood’s unrealistic beauty standards but here’s how hubby Vicky Kaushal calms her down

Katrina Kaif is currently one of the top actresses in Bollywood. The actress, who was recently in Merry Christmas opposite Vijay Sethupathi and Tiger 3 opposite Salman Khan, has millions of fans not only because of her acting, but also because of her looks. However, did you know she too has confidence issues when it comes to looks?

During a recent interview, Kaif got candid about suffering from body confidence issues. She also revealed what her husband, actor Vicky Kaushal, does when he catches her fussing about how she looks.

While chatting with Hello! India Magazine, Katrina Kaif got candid about sometimes feeling intimidated with Bollywood’s unrealistic beauty standards. She said, “I have often experienced the pressures of a certain standard of beauty and the pressures to conform to that standard. I have found that to be often stifling and intimidating.” She continued, “There’ll be a moment where I will be, you know, fussing before I leave the house for an event or something. I’ll end up finding something that I see, which is not to my liking and I’m trying to fix it, whether it’s a costume or hair or something.”

Revealing how Vicky Kaushal reacts on seeing his wife fussing, Katrina Kaif said, “And then my husband will wryly remind me ‘Aren’t you the person who says ‘It’s Kay to Be You’ (the tagline of her makeup brand Kay Beauty)?” For the unversed, Katrina launched her beauty line in 2019. The ‘Merry Christmas’ actress, while admitting that everyone “struggle with self-image and confidence issues,” advocated celebrating uniqueness. She said, “It’s also a reminder for myself, to celebrate myself, right? To celebrate what is unique about us, because that’s what makes us, us.”
