‘Bharat’: Katrina Kaif opens up about replacing Priyanka Chopra

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is currently going through a purple patch and is basking in the glory of ‘Bharat’. The Salman Khan starrer has done astonishing business at the box-office and is showing no signs of slowing down. Kat interacted with the media and reflected on the grand success of ‘Bharat’ and what it means to her.

Now, as we all are aware, Priyanka Chopra was the first choice of director Ali Abbas Zafar for ‘Bharat’. The ‘Quantico’ actress pulled out at the last moment citing personal reasons.

Katrina was asked about replacing Priyanka and she said, “I never thought of this before until this interview. So, taking that into consideration, yes it’s great validation and it’s feedback. In general, I’m not really the person looking over the shoulder to see what another person is doing. I just have to be answerable to myself everyday onset that – have you done everything that you could have done for the role and film?”

Kat has hit the nail on the head and you can only control the controllables. The actress played the character of Kumud Raina magnificently and it has been greatly appreciated by the audiences.
