This morning a leading tabloid had reported that Katrina Kaif has been roped in to star opposite Ranveer Singh in Rohit Shetty’s next. It was said that the actress was meeting many filmmakers to revive her career and Rohit was one of them. However, when entertainment portal Pinkvilla contacted Rohit, the director refuted the reports of casting Katrina.
He said, “I am shooting in Hyderabad, I don’t know where this story has started coming from. Nobody has been approached for the role as of now.”
“I am busy with ‘Golmaal Again’ and we are simultaneously working on the ‘Temper’ remake. We won’t be approaching anyone till December and any news before that is fake,” he added.
So, while Katrina has not been approached for the film yet, one thing has been confirmed that Rohit will be collaborating with Ranveer for the remake of ‘Temper’. (Also Read: Katrina Kaif to star opposite Ranveer Singh in Rohit Shetty’s next?)
Rohit and Ranveer had earlier collaborated for an advertisement which also had all the massy elements. There were reports of the two collaborating, but it was just few days ago, when Rohit had confirmed about it to Bollywood Life. He had stated, “Yes, I am making a film with him (Ranveer Singh), what’s true is true. How much will we hide it? But there’s a lot of time before it takes off. He has ‘Padmavati’ right now, then Zoya’s film (‘Gully Boy’), so we should start mid-next year. It is an action film… a hardcore action film.”
Well, the director is currently busy with ‘Golmaal Again’ which is slated to hit the screens during Diwali this year. On the other hand, Ranveer is busy with the shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ in which he will be seen as Sultan Alauddin Khilji. The movie, which also stars Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor, is slated to hit the screens on November 17, 2017.
‘Eat Sleep Bollywood Repeat’ is his life Mantra. Dance is his first love and Rani Mukerji is his eternal crush. He is someone who loves being himself, and as for the ones who don’t agree, his reply? “Talk to my hand!”
