Soon after Kangana Ranaut releasing the first look of her film ‘Manikarnika—The Queen of Jhansi’, the film fell prey to allegations. Filmmaker Ketan Mehta accused Kangana Ranaut for hijacking his project that revolved around the same plot. Apparently, Kangana was working with Ketan Mehta on a film called ‘Rani of Jhansi: The Warrior Queen’ and had shot for the same. But soon Kangana replaced the director and started shooting for another film with the same plot viz. ‘Manikarnika’. Ketan Mehta had earlier claimed that he suffered a loss of total Rs 9 crore because of the same. He then sent a legal notice to Kangana Ranaut. A latest update on the same case states that Ketan Mehta has now asked for help from Economics Offences Wing (EOW),a financial crime investigation agency, and have asked them to look into this matter.
DCP Parag Manere, EOW, stated, “We have received the letter. We will investigate the case, and if the allegations are true we will register a case in this regard.”
Let’s wait and watch what happens next. (Also Read: Kangana Ranaut’s reaction on Vidya Balan’s indirect dig at her is surprising)
