KGF Chapter 2: Yash, Sanjay Dutt starrer’s release date postponed to THIS date now

There have been reports that Yash starrer KGF: Chapter 2 might get postponed. Prashanth Neel’s directorial was slated to release worldwide in theatres on July 16, 2021. But now it seems fans of KGF 2 have to wait a bit longer as the makers have announced a new release date. Yesterday, taking to his Instagram handle, Yash shared the news with a new poster. The movie will now release theatrically on April 14, 2022.

Sharing the poster, Yash captioned it, “The uncertainties of today will only delay our resolve, but the eventuality is as promised.We will be out in theaters on april 14th 2022. #KGF2onApr14(sic)”.

The teaser of KGF Chapter 2 was released ahead of Yash’s birthday in January. Chapter 2 also stars Sanjay Dutt as Adheera, Raveena Tandon as Ramika Sen, and Srinidhi Shetty as Reena. The film also stars Anant Nag, Nagabharana, Prakash Raj, Malavika Avinash, Achyuth Kumar, Archana Jois, among others in pivotal roles.  Reportedly, the runtime of the film is almost 3 hours. It will have a runtime of 2 hours 52 minutes. KGF 2 is said to be made on a whopping budget of Rs 100 crore.

Earlier, on his role in Chapter 2 of KGF, Yash had said, “Chapter 1 was an introduction to Rocky, his personality, his world and his hunger to overcome his demons.” Fans are eagerly waiting to see the different shades of Yash as Rocky.

It is produced by Vijay Kiragandur and brought by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, Hombale Films and AA Films. KGF Chapter 2 is a pan-India film and will simultaneously release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
