Khufiya: Tabu reunites with Vishal Bhardwaj​ after Haider; says ‘it feels like homecoming’

It looks like another great piece of content is coming on our way and it definitely is going to blow our minds, all thanks to its powerful casting. Actor Tabu and filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj are coming together once again after Haider, also starring Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. Tabu and Vishal Bhardwaj are reuniting for a spy thriller which is titled, Khufiya. The announcement on the same was shared on their Instagram accounts which have piqued everyone’s interest. The film also stars Ali Fazal, Ashish Vidyarthi, Wamiqa Gabbi in pivotal roles. The film will be streaming on OTT giant Netflix.  

Sharing the happy news with his fans, Ali wrote, “Redefining your definition of thrillers. Get ready for a gripping ride with none other than @vishalrbhardwaj. Presenting #Khufiya, coming very soon only on @netflix_in!  @ashishvidyarthi1 @tabutiful @wamiqagabbi” while Tabu who is excited for this new project said, “Expect nothing but sheer thrill. Excited to announce my re-uniting with @vishalrbhardwaj for #Khufiya. Coming very soon on @netflix_in! @alifazal9”

Speaking more about the film, director and producer Vishal Bhardwaj told SpotboyE, “With Khufiya, my attempt is to create an edgy espionage film that contrasts the slow burn of intelligence and surveillance work with one’s deep-rooted emotional conflicts.”

Whereas Tabu was quoted as, “Khufiya is a one of a kind project, extremely close to my heart and I am excited to be a part of this gripping spy thriller. As always, it’s a delight working with VB (Vishal Bhardwaj) again, and feels like homecoming!”

For the unversed, Tabu has previously worked with Bhardwaj in films like Maqbool (2003), Haider (2014), and Talwar (2015), which was co-written and co-produced by Vishal Bhardwaj with Meghan Gulzar. Tabu will also be seen in his son Aasman Bhardwaj’s directorial debut Kuttey.
