Kiara Advani to star opposite Sidharth Malhotra in Vikram Batra biopic?

Kiara Advani, who was appreciated for her extraordinary performance in ‘Lust Stories’, has apparently bagged a film opposite Sidharth Malhotra. She will be seen in a biopic based on the life of an Indian army officer Captain Vikram Batra.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Kiara Advani has been roped in to play Vikram Batra’s girlfriend, Dimple Cheema, in the film.

Produced by Karan Johar and Shabbir Boxwala, the biopic will be directed by Vishnu Varadhan. Apart from this project, Kiara will also be seen in a guest appearance in ‘Kalank’. The film which stars Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit in lead roles, is also a Karan Johar production and is being directed by Abhishek Varman. Alia Bhatt had recently wrapped the first schedule of the film in Mumbai.

Kiara, who made her acting debut with ‘Fugly’, went on to star in successful films like ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ and the Telugu political drama ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’.

Sidharth Malhotra was last seen in ‘Aiyaary’ along with Manoj Bajpayee. The film which was based on true incidents, tanked miserably at the box office earlier this year.

Besides, this will be the first time, that we will see Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani together on screen. So we are really looking forward to seeing this hot new pair soon.  Stay tuned for more updates.
