Kiku Sharda heaves a sigh of relief, released from jail!

One of the most important character on ‘Comedy Night With Kapil,’ Palak aka Kiku Sharda, is having a tough time. A comedian who strives to make everyone laugh landed himself into a legal trouble due to one of his acts. Kiku apparently mimicked the religious sainth Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh while giving a performance on one of the shows. This didn’t go down well with his followers and they lodged the complaint against the comedian.

On January 1, 2016 a case was filed against Kiku Sharda for hurting the religious sentiments of the people who are the ardent followers of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. Following this, Kiku apologized to all those who felt hurt with his act and said that the act was not to make a spoof of the Saint. He said, “I have a lot of respect for Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singhji. The look (on the show) wasn’t deliberate; it just happened to match (Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s look). We didn’t plan it as a spoof on him. It’s a coincidence, and it is unfortunate. I am sorry that people felt hurt. We never try to do any such thing intentionally, or try to get headlines out of it, or want people to talk about our show in this manner. There is nothing more to it.”

Despite this, Kiku was arrested and sent to a judicaila custody for 14 days yesterday. He was first detained and then arrested by the Haryana Police. Latest update on this case states that Kiku has been releazed on bail. The police granted him bail only on the condition that he would help and co-operate in further investigation of this case.

Well, finally some relief to Kiku.
