Kirti Kulhari announces separation from husband Saahil Sehgal

Kirti Kulhari announced separation from her husband Saahil Sehgal on social media. The actress revealed that the separation is not on paper but in life. She also said that she will not be commenting further on it.

Announcing her separation, Kirti wrote, ‘A simple note to let everyone know that my husband Saahil and I have decided to separate. Not on papers, but in life.’ A decision that’s probably harder than the decision of “being with somebody”, because coming together is celebrated by everyone you love and care about. And the decision of “not being with somebody” brings along pain and hurt to the same people. It’s not easy. Guess it’s not meant to be easy but IT IS WHAT IT IS.”  

“To all those who really care, I am in a good place and I hope everyone who matters in my life is too. Will not be commenting further on this. Upward and Onward.. Always..Kirti Kulhari,” the actress added.

Kirti’s post has got some warm words of support from her friends and fans. Actress Divya Dutta commented, “Big hug to u my gal”, while Amrita Puri said, “So brave of you to be so honest and vulnerable on a public platform. But then you’ve always been (strong).”

The Pink actress is someone who has always shared happy stories about her married life. Earlier, in an interview to a portal, she had said, “I did not set out to become that woman but I think my marriage kind of coincided with Bollywood going through that change in mindset in the society. It is like you can be 30 and above and still be acting. You can be married, have kids, and still be acting. The industry was going through the transformation and I just joined the bandwagon.”

Kirti was last seen in a legal drama web series Criminal Justice: Behind closed doors, which was released on Disney+Hotstar in December 2020. Directed by Rohan Sippy and Arjun Mukherjee, the series also starred Pankaj Tripathi, Jisshu Sengupta in the lead roles. The web series was well received by the critics and the viewers. Kirti’s role too was appreciated by the viewers.
