One of the highly acclaimed singers, Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK passed away after suffering from a heart attack. KK death shocked the entire nation and people started pouring in their love and heartfelt eulogies on social media. At the age of 53, the singer was giving a performance in Kolkata; however, little did anyone know that it was his last performance. Now, the last rites are being taken place in the city where the mortal remains of KK have been brought to Rabindra Sadan.
The Chief Minister of Kolkata Mamata Banerjee was seen paying her last respect at Rabindra Sadan. Moreover, a gun salute was accorded to the singer KK at Rabindra Sadan by the police force at his funeral.

After Mamta Banerjee tweeted, “The sudden and untimely demise of the Bollywood playback singer KK shocks and saddens us. My colleagues have been working since last night to ensure that all requisite support is given for necessary formalities, his rites and to his family now. My deep condolences.”
Even Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi shared a heartfelt note on Twitter which read, “Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.”
