Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK passed away after performing a live concert in Kolkata, on May 31. Reportedly, the singer fell sick while performing at Nazrul Manch in Kolkata. He was rushed to a private hospital where he was declared dead by the doctor. KK is survived by his wife Jyothy Lakshmi Krishna and two children, Nakul and Taamara. His wife and his son and daughter often remember him with emotional posts on social media. On Thursday, Jyothy shared a painting by her that features both together.
Sharing the painting on her Instagram handle, she wrote, “Trying to paint again. Miss you sweetheart.”

KK’s daughter wrote, “Love it momm” with red heart emojis. Fans were also quick to comment on the pic. One wrote, “Wow!❤️❤️?? Such a beautiful and adorable artwork ma’am. There have not been a single day that I didn’t think about you. All the love and healing your way.❤❤❤❤❤❤ KK sir can never leave you. He is just not there physically but he’ll keep loving and protecting you always ??❤❤?? Take care ma’am. For the unversed, KK first met his wife in sixth grade and they had been childhood sweethearts. Both tied the knot in 1991.
KK crooned songs in languages, including Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. He was best known for his songs Pal and Yaaron. He lent his voice for chartbusters like Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai, Tadap Tadap Ke Is Dil Se, Aankhon Mein Teri Ajab Si, and Khuda Jaane among others.
