Koena Mitra always speaks her mind and she is not scared to voice her opinion. In an interview with Etimes TV recently, she said that she is surprised that Sushant Singh Rajput’s family didn’t come forward and demand an inquiry. Well, now she is happy that Sushant’s father KK Singh and family have finally broken the silence and demanded a proper investigation.
Koena said, “I was waiting for this. Family se better knowledge kisike ke pass nahi hain, they might have phone conversations, messages, emails. They have much more knowledge than the public and all of us. So, I was waiting for them to take action and happy that they filed an FIR”.
On Sushant’s case and reports saying that he was depressed, Koena said, “No one knows what triggered him. We don’t know whether he committed suicide or it was a murder. Nobody knows what he was going through. Maybe he was angry and it was his impulse. People are saying ‘depression main log suicide karte hain’. Log frustration and impulse main bhi galat decision le sakte hain. Who knows he was in depression or not”.
Koena also wants changes in the industry given the current scenario. She said, “Our industry is an ocean. It’s not about just four-five big names. There are many great people in the industry who are non-political and non-interfering. There are some good directors, producers, and writers and they should stand against the politics and gundagiri , blackmailing and all that. They should use their power and influence the public and communicate with them.”
