Koffee With Karan 7: Arjun Kapoor recalls how Sonam Kapoor fooled the family using his name to go on her first date

Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor might be cousins but their equation is more like friends. Born just 15 days apart, the duo has grown up together literally their whole life. And that amazing equation between the two was on display as Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor made an appearance together on  the latest episode of Koffee With Karan 7.

While the duo indulged in sharing some amazing stories and takes during the whole episode, one interesting anecdote was of Arjun recalling Sonam’s first date and how he accompanied her on it. In a game of Sibling Trolls, when Sonam got a chance to ask Arjun if he ever disliked someone she has dated, she gave the answer herself saying, except her husband Anand Ahuja, Arjun has liked none of her partners before.

Arjun jumped in to defend himself saying he didn’t hate all of Sonam’s exes, adding, “I have gone on her first date,” to which Sonam hurriedly responded, “You have gone on my first date when I was 12 Arjun.” The banter continued as Arjun replied, “But you start dating at 12.”

Sonam revealed that for her first date she went to McDonalds Lokhandwala and she used Arjun to accompany her. Arjun took the story forward sharing, “Because her parents were strict, she said I am going with Arjun to eat. And obviously, that’s the easiest excuse because Arjun eats. I mean what a clean way of getting out and meet a boy, right? I am going out with Arjun to eat, like nobody in the family is ever questioning that.”

Unable to control her laugh, Sonam informed, “So, Arjun was sitting by himself. I bought him a couple of burgers.” Arjun completed the anecdote saying, “I sat on a separate table eating burgers. While she was flirting. But Sonam loves that thing about like my brother, you better behave, he’s very strict. I am not strict.”

This camaraderie between these cousins is really out of the world and it came out perfectly on the recent episode of Koffee With Karan 7. After seeing them together in the show, the fans would surely love to see them together on the big screen as well.
