Koffee With Karan 7: Did Karan Johar just invite Kartik Aaryan to his show? Deets inside

Appearing on Karan Johar’s infamous couch on Koffee With Karan is seen by many people, as well as celebrities, as one of the biggest milestones in their career. On the last episode of Koffee With Karan 7, even Kiara Advani had admitted that her friends from South Mumbai weren’t as impressed by her films doing well at the box office and getting acceptance everywhere as much as they were excited about her making her debut at the Koffee couch.

The most recent episode of Koffee With Karan 7 saw the OG Heropanti pair of Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon make an appearance together. While Tiger brought out his quirky side in the Rapid Fire and the Koffee Quiz, and Kriti unveiled some secrets of her own and had her matchmaking done with Aditya Roy Kapur, what became one of the most talked about highlight of the whole episode is the invite that Karan Johar extended to Kartik Aaryan to appear on his couch.

During the game round, things were all tied up when Kriti finally called Kartik for ‘Hey Karan, it’s me’ segment. As soon as he picked up, the filmmaker exclaimed, “Oh God! Kartik has been called for the third time. Kartik, you might as well just come for the show fast.” Kartik also brought out his wit as after responding to Karan, he told Kriti, “Kya hua Kriti, choti bachchi ho kya?”. He also plugged in his film promotions as when he got to know Tiger was also there, he said, “All the best for Ganapath and please promote Shehzada also.”

The invite that Karan Johar gave to Kartik Aaryan for the show has got everyone really excited as the two reportedly had a fallout about a year ago over Dostana 2. Kartik was supposed to appear alongside Janhvi Kapoor and debutante Lakshya in the film, and some portion of it had also been shot. While there were many versions of why the fallout happened surfacing online, no one issued any statement on the same but the makers of Dostana 2 did put out a statement saying there is a cast change happening, and the film has since been on the back burner.

Kartik has been mentioned in almost all the episodes of Koffee With Karan 7 till now, and even in a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Karan had appreciated the actor saying, “Kartik is an entertainer, so I think he would be great like a dessert because desserts always make you happy.”  If the actor did end up coming on the show, it would be one of the most hyped episode of all seasons and it would really be exciting to see the actor-filmmaker share what really happened.
