Karan Johar wishes to remake Sangam with Deepika, Ranveer and Ranbir
On the first episode of Koffee With Karan Season 8, Karan Johar expressed his heartfelt desire to recreate the movie Sangam. It all started when KJo asked Ranveer which male actor he would be open to cast in a love triangle with Deepika Padukone and him. Ranveer was quick to respond saying that he would like Ranbir to be cast. Moreover, he playfully told Karan Johar about his idea of making Sangam with them. Ranveer said, “Dinge maarte ho tum Karan Johar banate kuch nahi ho. ‘Violent action banaunga, massy action banaunga tumhare saath.”
Without any doubt, Johar was quite amused with the banter and said that he would still make Sangam. Ranveer took full advantage of the moment as he said, “Sign it?” to which Karan said, “I’m dying to!”
For the uninitiated, Sangam is a romantic drama movie which released back in 1964 and had featured Raj Kapoor, Vyjayanthimala, and Rajendra Kumar in pivotal roles.
Further, Deepika Padukone shared that her chemistry can be seen best with Hrithik Roshan as the two are gearing up for their upcoming movie Fighter. Starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in the lead, Fighter also features Anil Kapoor in pivotal role.
