Koffee With Karan 8: Rani Mukerji and Kajol comment on the distant relationship they shared in the 90s

Kajol and Rani Mukerji were the recent guests to appear on the iconic couch of Koffee With Karan Season 8. The latest episode was full of love, laughter and nostalgia about the good old days of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Kajol and Rani Mukerji spoke candidly about their personal and professional lives, with loads of laughter and happy memories. Adding to this, they also addressed the distanced relationship they had shared in the earlier days.

During the candid chat, KWK host Karan Johar stated that Kajol and Rani Mukerji did not share a close relationship or friendship. To this, Kajol and Rani addressed it and called it ‘organic’. Kajol said, “It was an organic distance and where work is concerned, I think it’s more that both of us liked where we were.”

Moreover, Rani Mukerji also agreed that the two were not really close. She said, “I have known her as a kid and she is always Kajol didi for me. And it was a bit strange and I guess when you grow up and grow apart, you don’t really know the reason why. Because we didn’t meet that often because Kajol didi used to stay in town and we were in Juhu, so me and Tanisha were much closer, we are still but Kajol didi was always closer to the boys of the family, like my brother and all of them.”

Well, speaking of the two, Kajol and Rani Mukerji have been a part of a few movies, majorly in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The movie turned out to be a hit and is still loved in today’s time. Going ahead in the conversation, Kajol, Rani Mukerji and Karan Johar also recalled the nostalgic days when they were shooting for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and how Rani Mukerji taught the hookstep of Koi Mil Gaya song from the movie. Not only this but Rani Mukerji also won the hamper after the rapid-fire round!
