Koffee With Karan 8: Rohit Shetty calls new generation of actors  ‘insecure’, says, ‘They need too much validation from social media’

Actor-filmmaker duo Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty got candid on Koffee With Karan 8 couch. Amid the conversation, Karan Johar asked Rohit and Ajay their thoughts on new generation of actor. From filmmaker stating how they are insecure and seek constant to Ajay pointing out how they are hesitant to do two-hero movies, they shared their thoughts.

Rohit Shetty on actors today being insecure

Talking about the same, Karan Johar asked: “What do you think about the newer generation of actors? Do you think they have that fighting spirit?”

To this, Rohit Shetty replied, “I think too much insecurity or too much validation they need from social media, from people they don’t know. I think they are very insecure, I mean I don’t know why, but maybe they have their own thing because they are born in this generation. They also overthink every decision.”

KJo also highlighted how today’s generation is insecure about doing multi-starrers. Reacting to it, Ajay averred, “I think they don’t have the security of doing solos either. They take around three years to decide if I should do this or that.”

The ace director also that his son Ishaan aspires to be a part of film industry. He said, “Yes, he wants to be in movies. He’s made up his mind. But He has to go through that whole format like I am going to take my car back from him and everything. He has to go through that struggle.”

Talking about Rohit and Ajay, they have been friends for over 30 years and delivered box-office blockbusters like the Golmaal franchise and cop universe instalments. They are all set to take the silver screens by storm with Singham Again.
