Arrest warrant issued against actress Zareen Khan for a cheating case – details inside

Actress Zareen Khan entered the showbiz industry in 2010 alongside Salman Khan in Veer. Zareen Khan later went on to act in movies like Housefull 2, 1921, Hate Story 2, Wajah Tum Ho, among others. She was last seen in Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele. Unfortunately, her films have not been commercially successful. Recently, Zareen Khan has grabbed headlines as a Kolkata court has issued an arrest warrant against her in a fraud case. The actress even reacted to the same and expressed she was unaware of the situation.

The warrant was issued to her owing to a cheating case dating back to 2018. The case was filed by event organizers from Kolkata. When questioned about the arrest warrant, Zareen Khan expressed shock and said to a news portal, “I’m sure there is no truth to this. I’m surprised too and am checking with my lawyer. Only then will I be able to give you some clarity. In the meantime, you can speak to my PR.”

About the cheating case

The controversy dates back to 2018 when Zareen Khan was supposed to perform at a Durga Puja event in Kolkata. However, she failed to show up. This left organizers and attendees disappointed. They claimed that Zareen had taken the amount in advance and still didn’t perform. Later, an FIR was filed against the bollywood actress Zareen Khan and she was summoned for questioning.

At that time, the actress claimed that the event organizers had misled her. She stated that they had falsely represented the event, telling her that prominent politicians, including the Chief Minister of West Bengal, would be a part of it. However, upon her arrival, she discovered that it was a small-scale event in north Kolkata. She also cited misunderstandings regarding plane tickets and accommodations due to which she failed to attend the event.
