Kolkata killed KK, claims Om Puri’s ex-wife Nandita Puri

Bollywood singer KK breathed his last on May 31 in Kolkata. The popular singer was performing in the city. He was rushed to the hospital post his performance where he was declared ‘brought dead. The news of his sudden death has left his fans, family and close friends in deepest shock. Now late actor Om Puri’s ex-wife Nandita Puri has vented her anger and has made a shocking accusation.

Nandita Puri took to Facebook and questioned Kolkata’s facilities for hosting live performances in Kolkata and also accused them of killing the singer.

She wrote, “Shame on West Bengal. Kolkata killed KK and the govt. is covering up with a state farewell for their faulty Nazrul Manch; with a crowd of 7k for a 2.5k capacity, failed air conditioning; the singer perspiring profusely complained 4 times to no avail. No paramedics. No first aid. Crucial moments lost. A CBI enquiry is a must and Bollywood should boycott performing in Bengal till then (sic).”

KK passed away on June 1 in Kolkata his mortal remains were brought to Kolkata’s Rabindra Sadan. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee arrived to pay her last respects. The singer’s mortal remains were honoured with a gun salute. The post-mortem reports of the late singer are out and it rules out any cause of unnatural death. It is being said that the singer breathed his last after he suffered a massive cardiac arrest.

The family brought KK’s mortal remains to Mumbai for his last rites. KK’s funeral is taking place in Mumbai and family and friends are paying their last respect to the singer. KK’s cremation will happen in Versova Hindu Cemetery at 1 pm today.
