Actress Kangana Ranaut’s latest release ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ is going strong at the box office. However, just as the film had faced several hurdles prior to its release, controversies surrounding Kangana and this film are yet to settle down. Post the release of ‘Manikarnika’, its original director Krish finally broke his silence about leaving the film mid-way.

Krish said that the entire fiasco surrounding the directors’ credit for ‘Manikarnika’ has been handled very poorly. The director also opened up about how he got hurt about the fact that despite giving 400 days and finishing the film, he was accused of leaving the project mid-way. Now that Krish has presented his side of the story, writer Apurva Asrani of ‘Aligarh’ fame, came out in his support stating how Kangana snatched his credit in ‘Simran’. The writer also accused filmmaker Hansal Mehta of not having the courage to speak out at the right time.

Apurva accused Kangana of doing the same with him during the making of ‘Simran’. The writer said that since Krish has now finally opened up on ‘insecure’ Kangana, he has achieved catharsis. You can read his post below:

When filmmaker and actress Pooja Bhatt came out in support of Krish, Asrani went on to lash out at Kangana by saying how she always uses the victim card and then resorts to character assassination.

For the uninitiated, Asrani and Kangana had an issue over the writing credits for Hansal Mehta’s directorial ‘Simran’. While Hansal never spoke against Kangana, Asrani had raised his voice back then too but no one had come out in his support.

We wonder what Kangana has to say about this now.
