Elated, overwhelmed and grateful: Kriti Sanon expresses happiness after winning her first National Award for Mimi

Kriti Sanon won her National Award for Mimi. The actress took to her Instagram and penned a heartfelt note.

The 69^th edition of annual National Film Awards event took place today i.e. 24^th August, 2023. The winners of this year’s National Film Awards were unveiled at the National media Center, New Delhi. Kriti Sanon won her first National Award as Best Actress for her film Mimi. Kriti shared the Best Actress award with Alia Bhatt. Alia won the award for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Kriti shared a post on Instagram to celebrate her big win. The actress posted a long note that read, “ELATED – OVERWHELMED – GRATEFUL Still sinking it in.. pinching myself.. this has actually happened! The National Award for Best Actress for Mimi! Thank you to the jury who considered my performance worthy of the most prestigious award! It means the world to me!“

She added, “Dinoo, I can’t thank you enough for believing in me and my potential, for standing by me always and for giving me a film I’ll treasure all my life! Laxman sir.. You always told me “Mimi, dekhna aapko is film ke liye National Award milega” .. Mil gaya sir! And I couldn’t have done this without you. Mom, Dad, Nups.. You guys are my lifeline! Thank you for always being my constant cheerleaders..“

The actress showered love on Alia as she wrote, “Congratulations Aliaaaa! So so well deserved! I’ve always admired your work and I’m too excited that I get to share this huge moment with you! Yayyyiiee!! Biggg hug… Lets Celebrate!!“

Kriti wrote in the caption, “Eyes are moist, Heart is full! The National Award : Best Actress for Mimi #Blessed #Grateful.”

Kriti Sanon had delivered a terrific performance in Mimi. The Laxman Utekar directorial also starred Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar, and Supriya Pathak among others. For the unversed, Pankaj Tripathi won Best Supporting Actor in Mimi. Kriti congratulated her Mimi co-star on his big win.

Kriti’s upcoming movies

Kriti has Ganapath I with Tiger Shroff and Amitabh Bachchan. Apart from this, she also has The Crew with Tabu and Kriti Sanon. That’s not all, Kriti also has Do Patti. For the upcoming project, Kriti will be reuniting with Kajol after Dilwale. For the unversed, Kriti is also producing Do Patti under her production company, Blue Butterfly Films. It is slated to release on Netflix.
