The legendary Bollywood icon Dilip Kumar breathed his last on Wednesday (July 7, 2021) early morning. Due to prolonged age-related health issues, he was admitted to PD Hinduja hospital in Mumbai. At 5 pm today, the thespian was laid to rest at Juhu Qabrastan and prior to that, he was accorded full state honours. His last rites saw celebs and fans paying their last respects on his final journey.
The pics and videos from the funeral have gone viral as they are shared by paparazzi on social media. Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon has made a ‘humble request’ to the media and the paparazzi who are sharing pics and videos from Dilip Kumar’s funeral. The actor took to her Instagram Stories and wrote that ‘it’s disturbing to see videos of such a sensitive event with photographers talking casually in the background’. She urged the media to ‘not cover funerals and give the family and close ones their privacy’.
Towards the end of her post, Kriti wrote, “Would you like such a personal loss being flashed all over? Lets change things a bit.. Lets put humanity before profession!”
This is not the first time Kriti had blasted the media. Last year, she issued a statement addressing the media over their behaviour at Sushant Singh Rajput’s funeral.
