Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, with her second flick ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, has struck the right chords. The film starring Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon was widely loved by critics and has minted over Rs 20 crore at the box office. This is proof, that the right content can do wonders, no matter how stale the box office is going!
Kriti, whose last release ‘Raabta’ didn’t do well commercially, was seen at her best in the romantic comedy. In fact, many cited this as her best performance so far. Elated with the success of the film, she went on to treat her friends and spread the joy!
The actress has treated her friends with barfis! In fact, this isn’t the first time. During the promotional spree, the team sent across boxes of barfis to dear ones whenever a new content from the film was out. (Also Read: Kriti Sanon’s reply to ‘No Bumper, No Headlight’ troll is killer!)
If reports are to be believed, then Kriti has a number of films in her kitty. There were also rumours of she signing Raj & DK’s ‘Farzi’ opposite Arjun Kapoor. However, she says nothing is confirmed yet.
“I keep reading a lot of reports like these, but I haven’t officially signed any of these projects. I have said ‘yes’ to a particular project, but I will wait for the producers to announce it. Unless I actually say ‘yes’, I cannot comment. These speculations will keep making the rounds, and it is not fair to comment on everything. I am reading a lot of scripts; I have liked one or two of them, and I am figuring out what, how and when. These days, content is king and the story is the most important factor, so I don’t want to be in a hurry,” she told Firstpost.
Okay then!
