Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has joined the long list of celebrities accused of sexual harassment allegations in the ongoing Me Too movement. Former Miss India Niharika Singh has levelled sexual misconduct allegations against the ‘Sacred Games’ actor as she shared her ordeal via the micro-blogging site Twitter.
Now, Nawazuddin has found support in Kubbra Sait. The actress has come out in the support of her ‘Sacred Games’ co-star and rubbished the allegations made against him. Kubbra took to Twitter and wrote, “A relationship gone sour, isn’t #MeToo someone needs to recognise the toxic difference before we go picking sides. I stand by #NawazuddinSiddiqui or #Nowaz as a man.”

Kubbra further stated, “I stand by the fact that although Niharika Singh may have had a tough time in the industry, categorising her once personal relationship as a #MeToo statement is incorrectly placed. We as humans are flawed. That isn’t gender specific.”

Kubbra Sait has become a household name due to her Netflix series ‘Sacred Games’. The web series apart from Nawazuddin Siddiqui also features Saif Ali Khan and Radhika Apte.

Kubbra Sait has taken a clear stand on the issue and is urging people to not diminish the #MeToo movement by making unsubstantiated charges of sexual harassment. Nawazuddin so far has not spoken anything on allegations made by Niharika Singh. Reportedly Nawaz and Niharika were dating at some point in their career.
Hopefully, Nawaz issues a statement to clear the air regarding Niharika’s allegations.
