After coming out of the Bigg Boss house, Jaan Kumar Sanu blasted his father Kumar Sanu for his video where he questioned his upbringing by his ex-wife Rita Bhattacharya. Reacting to this, Kumar Sanu told Bollywood Life, “First of all, everyone please see that video again. Nowhere have I even said one word about his (Jaan Kumar Sanu’s) upbringing. I had said, ‘Nalayak baatein nahi karna chahiye.’ ‘Nalayak baatein’, maine usko nalayak nahi bola. The other thing is that staying in Maharashtra, it’s necessary to respect Maharashtrians, and that lesson should’ve been taught to him. That’s what I had spoken about, not the upbringing — his upbringing has happened very well.”
Kumar Sanu is also hurt when Jaan told that his father has given him nothing other than the name. He said, “Maybe he was too small and doesn’t know it, but when I had divorced in 2001, I had given everything what his mummy wanted, whatever she had demanded through the court, along with the Aashiqui bungalow.”
In a recent interview with TOI, Jaan had said, “My father has never been a part of my life. I have no idea why he never supported or promoted me as a singer – you can ask him why. There are so many celebs in the industry, who have got divorced and remarried. They may not talk to their ex-wife, but they have never shied away from supporting their children from their first marriage. They have always taken responsibility for their children. But, in my case, my father Kumar Sanu refused to keep in touch with us. Initially, he had uploaded a video on social media regarding my upbringing and then there was another one supporting my work, so, I believe he has mixed feelings for me.”
