As Lagaan completes two decades today, actor-producer Aamir Khan spoke to a group of journalists and shared many anecdotes related to this cult film. Sharing a special mention about Reena (ex-wife) he said, “I have loads of memories of Lagaan, one special one that I would like to share with you all about my ex-wife. I asked Reena to help me with the production when I decided to produce the film myself. And that point of time Reena was studying computer science.”
“However, after being convinced she then set out as producer of this film Lagaan. She was a strict producer. When the film completed she wrote an emotional heart touching letter to the entire team. It was an emotional letter wherein she thanked all of us .My tears had rolled down reading it. It was a remarkable effort from Reena, I still wonder how she has cracked and produced a film like Lagaan and specially when she was not part of the industry,” he added.
