Lara Dutta made the country proud by winning the Miss Universe Crown in the year 2000. Of course, she has sentiments attached to the crown and hence, is rooting for the Indian candidate in this year’s Miss Universe Pageant. She took to her Twitter handle to vote and support Roshmitha Harimurthy, who is going to represent India in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant. Little did she know that someone would have objectionable thoughts over such prestigious beauty pageant.
Making an appeal to the people to vote and support Roshmitha, Lara posted,
Following this a tweeter replied and wrote it is just a circus where women are objectified.
Of course, this did not go down well with Lara. She gave a fitting reply to this man through her tweets. She posted,
Now that’s what we call a perfect answer. Beauty pageants are not just about sensuous bodies, but it has more to do with the confidence in oneself.
Lara Dutta, who is married to Mahesh Bhupathi, was last seen in Bollywood film ‘Azhar’ with Emraan Hashmi and Nargis Fakhri.
A strongly opinionated, free-spirited, budding Bollywood journalist, she likes to write anything in her own quirky style. When not running around to get assigned tasks completed, you will find her either painting, indulging in photography or dreaming in the la la land.
