Lata Mangeshkar funeral: Shah Rukh Khan visits Shivaji Park to offer his last respect

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar has departed for his heavenly abode on February 6 at the age of 92. She was under ventilation as she contracted COVID-19. However, due to the failure of multiple organs, Lata Ji breathed her last on Sunday. After her tragic demise, several Bollywood stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Shraddha Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali were seen outside her residence Prabhu Kunj. Just recently, she was taken to Shivaji Park for cremation where she was draped in tricolour along with army officers. Now, actor Shah Rukh Khan was spotted at the Lata Mangeshkar funeral.

As her mortal remains has been taken to Shivaji Park, several politicians including Uddhav Thackeray, Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, Shraddha Kapoor, Asha Bhosle, were seen at the park. Among them, Shah Rukh Khan was seen marking his presence at the funeral. Wearing a white shirt and jeans, SRK visited the funeral to pay his last respect. Lata Mangeshkar funeral is said to take place at 6:30. Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will be attending the funeral in Shivaji Park on Sunday.

Lata Mangeshkar’s mortal remains were being taken to Shivaji Park in a truck decorated with flowers and a beautiful photo of the legendary singer. The state government has also declared a public holiday in the state on Monday, February 7, 2022, to mourn the demise of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar.

After Lata Ji’s demise, stars like Anushka Sharma, Parineeti Chopra, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani and others offered their respects and condolences.
