Late Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor’s college video goes viral; the aspiring actor says that she wants to work with her family

Late Sridevi’s daughter, Khushi Kapoor has enrolled herself in New York Film Academy (NYFA). In a video, shared by Khushi Kapoor’s fan club on Instagram, the young aspiring actor says that she wants to work with her family, and prove herself before ‘jumping in’.

In the video, Khushi says, “Hi, I am Khushi Kapoor. My family is in the business but I have always just looked from afar,” she says in close to a three-minute video. “I would definitely love to work with my family at some point in the future. I would like to prove myself and prove my place before I jump into working with my family. There’s really no other way to go about it than to immerse yourself into it,” she adds.

The footages of the video are from NYFA’s classrooms and set interspersed in between. Khushi explains in the video that she joined the NYFA because one of her cousins had attended it as well. “I really enjoy all of my classes over here but the ones that have stuck with me are acting for films and improv. I love acting for films because I feel like I am in a movie and actually working. It’s been an incredible experience for me,” she continues in the viral video.

Khushi’s elder sister Janhvi Kapoor, who is a well-known star in the industry, had earlier spoken about her sister going away, during a conversation with designer Anaita Shroff Adajania on her show Feet Up with the Stars. “She is going to NYFA. Then after she comes back, she will figure what she wants to do. I’m getting palpitations just thinking about Khushi going to… He (dad Boney Kapoor) just has to think about it and he’ll start crying, “ the Dhadak actress had shared.

Whether Khushi is going to follow her late mother and sister Janhvi’s footsteps or not only time will tell. Earlier Boney had confirmed that Khushi is interested in becoming an actor. So now perhaps we will get to hear an announcement soon. During her appearance on BFF’s with Vogue Season 3 when host Neha Dhupia had asked her about her dream debut, Khushi had said that she would follow director Karan Johar blindly but her father will choose her co-star.
