‘Laxmmi Bomb’: Akshay Kumar starrer to pull out of a direct-to-OTT release? Here’s what we know

Owing to the Coronavirus scare, several Bollywood films opted for OTT release. One such film was superstar Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Laxmmi Bomb’. The film was scheduled to release on Disney Plus Hotstar. But recently, reports of its makers pulling out of the OOT release started doing the rounds of social media.

Rumours abound that Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ might not be releasing on an OTT platform as now plans of opening theatres are on the anvil. However, a report in Hindustan Times rubbished these rumours and stated that ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ will release as per schedule on Disney Plus Hotstar. Read on to know the details.

Confirming the film’s OTT release, a source was quoted saying in Hindustan Times as, “No, Laxmmi Bomb is not being pulled out of the OTT platform. These are absolutely fake stories which have no meaning. Disney Hotstar is absolutely going ahead with its plan to release Laxmmi Bomb.”

The same report also refuted rumours of the film being released on Akshay Kumar’s birthday i.e September 9. As decided previously, ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ will be releasing in November. Its makers are yet to decide a release date.
