Legendary actor Junior Mehmood funeral: Raza Murad, Johnny Lever, Sudesh Bhosale arrive to pay their last respects

Veteran actor Junior Mehmood has done incredible work during his career and was considered to be one of the finest actors in Hindi cinema. However, the actor passed away today, December 8, leaving everyone in grief. For quite some time, Junior Mehmood’s photos were circulating on social media when veteran actors Jitendra and Johnny Level came to visit him. He was fighting stomach cancer and, unfortunately, he succumbed to the disease. After the demise of Junior Mehmood, the funeral is now taking place in Santacruz.

Quite a few celebs were seen arriving to pay their last respects to late Junior Mehmood. Celebs like Raza Murad, Johnny Lever, Sudesh Bhosale and others were seen attending the funeral.

His family confirmed the news as they said, “The actor passed away last night at 2 AM in Mumbai. He was suffering from stomach cancer and was not keeping well for the last few days. His last rites will be performed in Santacruz burial ground after today’s afternoon prayers.”

Earlier, the actor was undergoing treatment at the Tata Memorial Hospital in Parel. As his health was worsening, he was then put under oxygen support. Earlier, Salam Kazi told TOI, “He was ill for 2 months and initially we thought that he might have some minor problem but after that suddenly his weight started decreasing. And when the medical reports came, it said that there was cancer in the liver and lungs and a tumour in the intestine and he also developed jaundice. So the treatment going on, but the doctors said it’s a stage four cancer.”

Junior Mehmood has worked in 250 films including Brahmachari, Kati Patang, Hare Raama Hare Krishna and many more.
