The year 2020 is hands down one of the most tragic years in the entertainment world. We have lost some of the most talented and celebrated artistes in the last few months. Earlier today legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam breathed his last around 1.04 pm. He was 74.
Fondly known as SPB, the legendary singer had entertained music lovers across generations. Apart from lending his voice to Hindi films, he was quite well known for his work in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam films. Everyone right from the film fraternity to eminent politicians and sports personalities mourned the death of SPB. A few hours back, his mortal remains were brought at his Chennai residence.
ANI shared pictures of the singer’s mortal remains being brought at his residence in Nungambakkam. Reportedly his funeral will take place tomorrow. And according to the news agency, the Tamil Nadu government has decided to accord state funeral with gun salute to the iconic singer.

SPB was admitted to a hospital after testing positive for the deadly Coronavirus. Around a few weeks back he had recovered from Covid-19 but continued to be under observation. However, on Thursday (September 24) his health deteriorated and the hospital officials issued a statement saying he was extremely critical. Unfortunately, the singer breathed his last on September 25.
