Was Imran Khan’s alleged affair with Lekha Washington the reason behind his split from Avankita Malik?

Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na actor Imran Khan tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Avantika Malik in 2011. The couple has a daughter Imara. While news of Imran’s marriage had broken the hearts of his female fans, everyone is equally surprised about the reports of their separation.

Rumour of the couple’s marriage is in trouble started doing the rounds since 2019. However, neither Imran nor Avantika has addressed these rumours yet. They both are tight-lipped about it. The latest buzz suggests that apparently, it was Imran’s alleged affair with actress Lekha Washington that ended his marriage with Avantika.

According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Imran and Lekha have been dating for quite some time. Interestingly, Lekha’s husband Pablo Chatterji is a close friend of Imran. However, Pablo is unaware of his wife’s relationship with Imran. The same report also stated that when Avantika started living separately, Imran introduced Lekha to his circle. Now Lekha’s marriage to Pablo is also in trouble.

The report further added that Imran has apparently even bought or rented a place near his house to meet Lekha. A neighbour was quoted saying to the portal as, “Lekha can be spotted going in and out of the building in the wee hours. It is very close to his own house at Pali Hill, Bandra. Imran is waiting for the divorce to come through to announce this new relationship.”

Meanwhile, Lekha has worked in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada language films. She was also a part of Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola starring Imran Khan in lead.
