Lisa Ray was loved by one and all because of her performance in ‘Kasoor’. She looked gorgeous and beautiful but that is not the only thing about her. Recently, she launched her book ‘Close To The Bone’ which is her memoir.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Lisa blasted a newspaper for using an inappropriate image of hers while talking about the book. She wrote, “Does anyone else see the irony in using THIS image – instead of an author image provided by my publisher – for an article about my memoir @CloseToTheBone_ where I talk about struggling as a women with overcoming sexist stereotypes? Just landed in #Kolkata and I must say I’m disappointed with #TheTelegraph unless I’m missing the punchline? I’ve written in depth on this manner of casual sexism during the 90s in India in @closetothebone.book but it seems it still persists. We NEED to change the narrative. What say?”

Lisa Ray has successfully fought back from cancer and we must admire her courage. It was extremely irresponsible of the newspaper to use that image. Women are not restricted to their looks and it is high time that we start appreciating them for other things too.
Lisa, we’re looking forward to reading your book and hope that you go from strength to strength.
