“Looks aren’t everything,” says Priyanka Chopra after winning People’s ‘Beauty of the Year’

Priyanka Chopra is one actress who is an inspiration for all the young girls out there. Recently, Priyanka was crowned People magazine’s ‘Beauty of the Year’ and we have to say that she deserved it.

In the issue, Priyanka said, “In the world we live in, the standard of beauty is not really real, and that’s something that we have done to ourselves.”

Speaking further, she said, “I think I realized what all it takes to actually look the way we do on magazine covers and the work we do. That’s when I realized looks aren’t everything, it’s the confidence with which you walk into a room, it’s the ability to do your job to the best of your capabilities.”

Indeed, this is an inspiring piece of wisdom from Priyanka. We really need to accept our looks and not be too worried about the standard definition of beauty set by films and magazines.

Priyanka was married to Nick Jonas in an intimate wedding ceremony in Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace in December last year.

On the work front, Priyanka will be seen in Shonali Bose’s ‘The Sky Is Pink’. The film also stars Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim in pivotal roles.
