‘Maari’ trailer receives over a million views

The response to the “Maari” trailer, which has received over a million YouTube views within four day of its release, has left actor Dhanush feeling overwhelmed.

The 31-year-old actor took to Twitter to thank people for viewing the trailer.

“#maari trailer https://youtu.be/W3XFChOz-Z0 reaches 1.5 million views in less than 4 days 🙂 thank you tweeps. Love you all,” Dhanush tweeted on Monday.

In the film, Dhanush is said to be playing a local hooligan, who goes with the catchphrase “Will finish you off”.

Directed by Balaji Mohan, the film has music by Anirudh Ravichander. “Maari” is jointly produced by R. Sarath Kumar, Radikaa Sarath Kumar and Listin Stephen. The film is slated to hit the theatres on July 17.
