‘Made In China’ first look: Meet Rajkummar and Mouni Roy as Raghu and Rukmini

Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy are all set to share the screen space for the first time in Mikhil Musale’s upcoming film ‘Made In China’. The shooting of the film went on floors last week and now we caught hold of the actor’s first look from the film.

Rajkummar took to the micro-blogging site and shared the first look of his and Mouni’s character from the film. The actor captioned the picture as, “Meet Raghu & Rukmini This Independence Day be independent! #MadeInChina on 15th August, 2019! Mark your calendars!”

Sporting a moustache, Rajkummar is looking every bit of a common man, whereas Mouni is looking beautiful in her house-wife avatar. In the film, Rao plays a Gujarati businessman and Mouni is his wife.

Talking about the thought behind the film, producer Dinesh told Mumbai Mirror, “Not all of us are free to follow our dreams or be who we want to be. That’s the kind of independence we yearn for and must strive towards. So, this Independence Day, be free. That’s the thought inherent in our film.”

Apart from Rajkummar Rao and Mouni, the film also features Boman Irani in a pivotal role. Produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, ‘Made In China’ is scheduled to hit the silver screens on August 15, 2019.
