Madhu Chopra on PeeCee’s marriage: I was at a loss of words. My baby looked like a princess

Doctor-turned-film producer Madhu Chopra is the happiest woman in the world and why wouldn’t she be? After all her only daughter Priyanka Chopra got married to the most handsome and lovely soul Nick Jonas. In a wedding spread across four days, PeeCee married her beau Nick at the Royal Umaid Bhawan Palace(Rajasthan). The ‘Quantico’ star’s marriage was hands down the most talked about wedding of B-town.

Post marriage the Jonas and Chopras flew off to Delhi to host the couple’s first wedding reception. Later Priyanka fulfilled some of her work commitments and yesterday she was back in the bay alongwith hubby Nick Jonas. Priyanka’s mother is extremely happy as she thinks that Nick is the best son-in-law one could have asked for.

In an interview with DNA, Madhu sharing about the moment her daughter got married, she said that it was the happiest day of her life. “It was an emotional moment for everyone. I broke into tears when I saw Priyanka dressed as a bride. I had waited for this day all my life,” she said. She went on to add how they followed every ritual very religiously as she wanted her daughter to get married as Indian traditions and rituals. Madhu felt that her daughter looked prettiest in her red Sabyasachi lehenga.

Interestingly Priyanka and Nick shared wedding vows in two separate ceremonies. Sharing about how she felt seeing her daughter in a gown at the Christian wedding, Madhu said, “I was at a loss of words. When I saw Priyanka, I couldn’t control my emotions. The white gown was so beautiful. My baby looked like a princess.”

Madhu was also happy that despite Priyanka staying in West for so long she hasn’t forgotten her roots and is still connected to her culture.
