Madhuri Dixit to play a homosexual character in her upcoming film Maja Maa? Here’s what you should know

Madhuri Dixit Nene is one of the most versatile actors of Bollywood. It was recently announced that she will be seen in Anand Tiwari’s Maja Maa. Her upcoming film will be a treat to watch as she will be sharing screen space with Gajraj Rao. Now, if reports are to be believed, she will be play a homosexual character in the film.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Madhuri Dixit Nene will play a homosexual character. The portal quoted a source saying, “How her sexual orientation leads to conflict, madness, and loads of entertainment while she’s gearing up for her son’s wedding forms the crux of the film.”

The source further added, “It goes without saying that the homosexual element is obviously handled sensitively, minus any titillations. Madhuri Dixit’s character has been handles sensitively in Maja Maa. That’s why a star like her agreed to sign for such an out-of-the-box part.”

Apart from Madhuri Dixit and Gajraj Rao, Maja Maa also stars Ritwik Bhowmik, Barkha Singh, Srishti Shrivastava, Malhar Thakar, Sheeba Chaddha, Simone Singh and Rajit Kapur.
