Mahesh Bhatt loses his cool at an event; daughter Alia Bhatt tries to calm him down-watch video

At the recent book launch of Mahesh Bhatt‘s daughter, Shaheen Bhatt, the former lost his cool. From Alia, Shaheen, Pooja Bhatt to his wife Soni Razdan, other guests including the media were present at the event. It so happened that during the Q & A round, a journalist asked a question on “fitting in the society”, and then the filmmaker got angry. He said, “There are no answers, there are pretenders who claim to have answers, there are no answers. They institutionalise those answers and they impose those answers with the butt-end of a gun.” While Alia was heard asking her father to cool down. “I warned you that this was gonna happen,” Alia was sounding uncomfortable as she was saying this into the mic.

Soni Razdan, sitting just next to Mahesh Bhatt was also seen trying to calm him down. Mahesh Bhatt continued saying, “I have never pretended to my children that I was in possession of the virtues that people flaunt. That’s why they feel they are not misfits with me. I am a misfit at 71. I can’t let this young little girl fit into this sick world.”

The book launch event was indeed an emotional moment for the entire Bhatt family. While Shaheen talked about her struggle in fighting depression, Pooja Bhatt also spoke about her depression story and suicidal tendencies. Shaheen’s book is titled ‘I’ve Never Been (Un)Happier’.
