Mahima Chaudhry breaks down opening up about her breast cancer diagnosis, watch video

Model-actress Mahima Chaudhary, who has been away from the big screen for a while has revealed in a video that she was diagnosed with breast cancer and was in the USA for treatment. She posted a video on her Instagram handle where the Pardes actress revealed how she broke the news of her cancer to Anupam Kher who had called her up to offer her a role in a film. Mahima said that she had even asked him if she could wear a wig to the set.

Mahima Chaudhary also revealed that she didn’t have symptoms but it was during her annual health check-up, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She went through chemotherapy and earlier she didn’t even told her mother about it as she is vulnerable. Later, when she told her mom, her health deteriorated. Telling her cancer story and the recovery process, the actress broke down.

Anupam sharing the video wrote, “Story of Mahima Chaudhry’s courage and cancer. I called Mahima Chaudhry a month back from US to play a very important role in my 525th film The Signature. Our conversation turned to her discovering that she has breast cancer. What followed is in this candid conversation between us. Her attitude will give hope to so many women all over the world. She wanted me to be part of her disclosing about it. She calls me an eternal optimist but dearest Mahima.”

“You are my hero! Friends, send her your love, warmth, wishes, prayers and blessings. She is back on sets where she belongs. She is ready to fly. All those producers/directors out there! Here is your opportunity to tap on her brilliance! Jai ho to her,” he added.
