Maidaan Teaser: Ajay Devgn as coach Syed Abdul Rahim will take you back to the golden era of Indian football

Double treat for Ajay Devgn fans as the actor’s much-awaited film Bholaa hits the theatre today. Also the teaser of his sports drama Maidaan has been unveiled by the Drishyam star. The Singham of Bollywood is playing the role of the legendary football coach Syed Abdul Rahim.

In the teaser, we see Ajay Devgn as the legendary football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. He is regarded as the architect of modern Indian football.  The teaser begins with the commentator welcoming the fans to the match at Helsinki stadium in Finland during the Summer Olympics 1952.  The year 1952 to 1962 is considered as the golden era of Indian football as the Indian qualified twice for the Olympics despite hurdles.

The movie is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and co-produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios. ‘Maidaan’ also features Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh in pivotal roles. The movie will be released worldwide in theatres on June 23, 2023.

Ajay Devgn starrer Bholaa is a remake of Tamil movie Kaithi. The movie also features Tabu in a pivotal role. The actress was recently seen sharing screen space with Devgn in hit flick Drishyam 2. The project is jointly bankrolled by Ajay Devgn Films, T Series, Reliance Entertainment, and Dream Warrior Pictures.

On the work front, Ajay Devgn also has Rohit Shetty’s Singham 3 in his kitty.
