Renowned Sabyasachi Mukherjee has been the official designer for Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh during their wedding ceremonies. From Deepika’s suit for the Nandi Puja to their airport outfits, Sabya has designed and styled the couple from head-to-toe. Today, the designer shared two videos where he is seen with his team making the wedding couture for Deepika and Ranveer.
For the Sindhi wedding, Deepika was in a red bridal lehenga while Ranveer was in a red sherwani that were from Sabyasachi’s ‘India Revival Project.’ Deepika’s lehenga was embellished with dabka embroidery and gota work in the pattern of dancing peacocks. The main highlight of Deepika’s lehenga was her dupatta that was designed with ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Raho’ written on it in Devanagari. Ranveer’s sherwani was of brocade.

Today, Deepika and Ranveer are hosting their second reception at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. Deepika is likely to wear Sabyasachi’s creations. We are not sure about Ranveer’s couture as he chose Rohit Bal’s designs for the Bengaluru wedding and for the wedding party, he donned the quirky outfit designed by his friend Manish Arora.
We are eagerly waiting for DeepVeer’s first look from today’s reception. Till then, keep reading our space.
