The first half of ‘Malaal’ recreates the Mumbai chawl life decently. While Meezaan is far from perfect in capturing the tapori accent (Ranveer Singh killed it in ‘Gully Boy’), it shows that he has worked hard to make it seem as natural as his skills allow him to.
Sharmin Segal too does a decent job, but you can’t expect her to be as pleasing to the eye as Sara Ali Khan.

The story is gripping and you don’t feel time pass by. All in all, we are definitely looking forward to the second half.
Directed by Mangesh Hadawale, ‘Malaal’ marks the Bollywood debut of Meezaan and Sharmin Segal. Stay tuned for the review of the film.
