‘Malaal’ Trailer: Sharmin Segal and Meezaan’s love story will remind you of ‘Ishaqzaade’

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s niece, Sharmin Segal and Jaaved Jaaferi’s son Meezaan Jaaferi are all set to mark their big Bollywood debut with film ‘Malaal’. Finally, after introducing the fresh faces with the much-awaited first look poster, the makers of ‘Malaal’ have dropped the most interesting trailer featuring Meezaan and Sharmin as a couple deeply in love.

‘Malaal’ is being produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Bhushan Kumar, Mahaveer Jain and Krishan Kumar. Helmed by Mangesh Hadawale the film is set to hit the screens on June 28. The beautiful, Sharmin Segal and Meezaan can be seen in a love-hate relationship. The film is set in the backdrop of Mumbai festivities and the political scenario. Which covers the sensitive issues such as non-Marathi’s leaving in Mumbai. While Meezaan can be seen as a young angry man, who hates the outsiders living in Mumbai, Sharmin can be seen as a confident woman, who can fight for her survival in the politically influenced situations. The director of the film, Mangesh has received a national award and an International award for his directorial debut – a Marathi film ‘Tingya’ in the year 2008. Javed Jaaferi’s son, Meezaan Jaaferi had worked as an assistant director on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Bajirao Mastani’ which starred Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra in pivotal roles. Reportedly, the ‘Malaal’ actors have got professional training from Sanjay Leela Bhansali and they also hold the degrees in filmmaking techniques.
