Malaika Arora opens up about ‘scar’ from road accident: It is a reminder which will stay

Malaika Arora had met with a gruesome road accident, about a month ago. The actress was severely injured after the road accident. She was travelling back to Mumbai, via the Mumbai-Pune expressway, where her car was rammed from the back. Malaika Arora has opened up about the ‘scar’ she has got from the road accident. In an interview with the Times of India, the actress said that the scar mark is a reminder for her which will stay.

Malaika, who has resumed work just weeks after her road accident mentioned that she saw herself finally in the mirror after a week of the unfortunate event. She said that the scar that was right there on her forehead is a reminder of what happened.

Arora said, “It was after about a week that I saw myself in the mirror, finally. The scar was right there on my forehead — a stark reminder of what had happened, of the fragility of life. It wasn’t vanity that came over me at that time. Yes, vanity is crucial in this business, but it was the fact that this scar is a reminder which will stay where I will see it every day.”

The actress further went on to mention the two things that she prayed for after the accident. She said the first thing was that she didn’t want to die that night and the second was that she didn’t want to lose her eyesight.

Malaika said, “I didn’t want to die that night, and I didn’t want to lose my eyesight. When the accident happened, I’m told I was constantly asking for my mother and my son Arhaan.” She mentioned how she was asking for her son Arhaan and her mother, after the road accident.

A few days ago, Arora had shared a string of photos of her, flaunting her scars. She shared the photos and said “Wear your imperfections.”

On the work front, the actress was last seen on the show, India’s Best Dancer 2. She was the judge on the reality show.
